For my final blog, I have decided to describe how my own personal experience with becoming a subscriber to the streaming service Kayo. Kayo is an Australian sports streaming service which offers a wide-range of different and diverse sporting programs. It is subscription based with no locked in contracts, free to subscribe and cancel as the consumer pleases. Following is my experience with this service:
The time between my first encounter and my eventual continued subscription was a relatively short amount of time. It first started with me becoming aware of it through social media and a glowing recommendation from a friend, who vouched for it being of good quality and contained the sports I would like. In consideration, they offer a 14-day free trial in which you can try it, and if you like it you can remained subscribed or opt-out.
I then reached the stage of purchase by choosing to remain subscribed, and utilizing the service for about a 6-month period. In the retention stage however, I did begin to start having issues with the price that comes with a typical subscription service, especially one that is a sub-set of Fox Sports. They have a function in which you can have multiple users within the same account, so this did alleviate some of my concerns. Despite these issues, my overall favourable experience led to me beginning advocating for it by allowing some of my friends to temporarily share the account to see if they also found it to be of great use and suggest it whenever someone would ask me the best place to view an upcoming match or game.
