Ever since the start of the industrialization era automation has been the direction in which most businesses and industries move towards. With typically more efficient and cost effective methods, it is a wise investment for businesses to pour their resources and efforts into. Without the need for human intervention, software designed for the specific task can complete a similar task to what a paid human could do at a fraction of the cost. Jobs listed as the most at risk jobs with this developing technology are mostly in service, factory work and retail.
Although AI automation has already greatly impacted the marketing industry, with around 53% of business to business organisations currently using some form and 37% working towards implementing it. Here is a list of current and future uses of artificial intelligence in marketing:
- Consumer segmentation: collating data on consumers and demographics can be completed by designed software and will be useful for customer retention and targeted selling.
- Finding better leads: this application would be through digital outreach such as emails, but would be discussed to look as if it is human contact
- Creating a faster purchase journey: insight into what to focus on and what features to present to the consumer
